Accounting Specialist

SUMMARY:

Aeroseal is looking for an Accounting Specialist that will assist us in our mission by supporting the accounting department. The Accounting Specialist position is responsible for the Accounts Payable process as well as preparing and recording journal entries, account reconciliations and detailed reports. This person will be crossed trained in the department to help cover when a team member is out. The position will evolve as the department grows and other responsibilities will be added.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors or associates degree in accounting or related field of study or equivalent years of experience in commensurate duties  

• Accounts Payable experience is a plus

• Intermediate knowledge of Excel

• Knowledge of NetSuite is preferred, but not required. Must be able to proficiently learn the use of the system

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical financial practices

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounts Payable – Enter and pay invoices

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

• Demonstrate strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles

• Support month-end and year-end close process

• Assist in the Cash Application process with customer payments

• Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.

• Other duties as assigned to achieve team and company objectives.

• Monitor and respond to the Accounting email box

The estimated pay range for this role is $45,000 to $55,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary and do not include bonuses or benefits.
