Manufacturing Process Engineer

SUMMARY:

Aeroseal is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer that will assist us in our mission by optimizing production efficiency, developing and implementing SOPs, and driving process improvements to reduce costs and waste. You will analyze performance metrics, apply SPC techniques for quality control, and support the integration of new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, ideally in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in process design, optimization, and implementation. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques
  • Experience in analyzing performance metrics like cycle time, yield, scrap rate, and Takt time, and the ability to develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • A commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in process engineering technologies and best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Develop, Design and implement a Manufacturing Execution System to streamline Processes and Improve the efficiency of the Production Floor.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce costs, minimize waste and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technologies and equipment.
  • Gathering, Monitoring and analyzing process data & Performance metrics, such as cycle time, Takt Time, yield and scrap rate and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Identify and implement process control measures, including statistical process control (SPC) techniques, to ensure consistent quality and reduce process variation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and provide solutions to improve processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in process engineering technologies, methodologies and best practices.

The estimated pay range for this role is $50,000 to $55,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary and do not include bonuses or benefits.
