In-Field Technician

Job Description

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented in-field Technician to apply the AeroBarrier process on residential, high-rise and commercial projects. The Technician will be skilled in operating, cleaning, adjusting and repairing the applicable systems. You will guide and advise the customer and crew members on reducing air leakage in structures by identifying large holes in the envelope and executing the AeroBarrier process.

To be successful in this role; customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.

AeroBarrier In-Field Technician Responsibilities:

  • Execute from start to finish, in-field AeroBarrier application process.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
  • Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, general equipment and structure envelope faults
  • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
  • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training
  • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
  • Assisting with customers' queries and ability to work with job site superintendents and other trades people

    AeroBarrier In-Field Technician Requirements:

    • High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
    • 3+ year experience working on active construction job sites
    • Willingness to continue learning
    • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
    • Understanding of advanced principles of mechanical equipment
    • Ability to direct crew members
    • Customer centric attitude
    • Understanding of Gmail, MS office suite package, Google drive
    • Ability to learn AeroBarrier point and click software
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
    • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
    • Flexible work schedule. Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice
    • Understanding of building science, particularly as it relates to structure envelope
    • Creative problem solver
