Aeroseal Needs a Business Development Manager.

Aeroseal is seeking an ambitious sales engineer with a genuine passion for specification of our innovative technology solutions to engineering and consulting firms. As a key member of our commercial sales team, you will be responsible for influencing project sales by targeting named Engineering Firms and Consultants to drive the specification of Aeroseal’s Intelligent duct leak detection and sealing technology.

We are looking for someone who is a hunter, enjoys cold calling, networking, and developing new relationships. Your passion to develop and build strong relationships with engineers and consultants will be instrumental in achieving our commercial sales targets.

  • Call on the MEP practice of the ENR500, consulting engineers and corporate sustainability leaders to drive Aeroseal’s intelligent leak detection and sealing technology specification.
  • Prepare and execute outbound/HVS cadences and required follow-ups.
  • Build funnel for future meetings (virtual and in person) through additional HVS campaigns.
  • Conduct no less than ten Engineering Firm, Consulting Engineer, and Corporate Sustainability presentations (virtually or in person) weekly.
  • Gather strategic information and document in SFDC.
  • Update project pipeline for OUS partners.
  • Other OUS support and special projects as needed.

Position requirements

Cold calling and networking: Ability and willingness to cold call on ICP/buying personas and network via LinkedIn and industry associations.

Technical disposition: Possess in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems or a willingness to learn.

ICP influencing: Collaborate with consultants, engineers, owners, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements. Conduct on-site visits to demonstrate Aeroseal’s technology and provide technical guidance.

Product knowledge: Learn and clearly convey the features and benefits of our sealing solution and how they meet customer requirements. Articulate technical specifications in a clear and compelling manner.

Cross functional collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and engineering teams and provide feedback to improve our tech based on customer input and market trends.

Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with engineering firms, consultants, and corporate sustainability leaders.

Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry standards and emerging technologies in the industry. Attend conferences, seminars, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Business or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer.
  • Proven track record of selling complex enterprise or technical solutions.
  • Ability to develop and forge strong, long-lasting relationships with engineers and consultants.
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Solid technical disposition and willingness to learn new emerging technologies and SaaS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creative skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Multilingual (Spanish/German) preferred but not required.
