Senior Engineer, Energy

SUMMARY:

Aeroseal is looking for a Senior Engineer, Energy. As a Senior Engineer specializing in Energy, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of energy-related projects and initiatives. Your expertise will contribute to the optimization, sustainability, and efficiency of energy systems and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify innovative approaches to meet energy demands while adhering to industry standards and best practices. The Senior Engineer will lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring successful project execution.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). A Master's degree in Energy Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

• Proven experience in energy-related projects, with at least 5-7 years in progressively responsible engineering roles.

• Familiarity with energy modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.

• Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles and sustainable energy practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.

• Proficiency in project management and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Leadership qualities to mentor junior engineers and guide project teams.

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards pertaining to energy systems.

• Professional engineering licensure or certification is a plus.

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is a plus.

• HVAC Design or in depth knowledge of HVAC systems design is a must

• HVAC Controls design is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Project Planning and Execution: Lead and participate in the planning, design, and execution of energy-related projects. This includes conducting feasibility studies, creating project schedules, setting objectives, and coordinating resources effectively.

• Energy Systems Analysis: Analyze existing energy systems and identify areas for improvement or optimization. Propose innovative solutions to enhance energy efficiency, reduce waste, and implement sustainable energy practices.

• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant energy regulations, standards, and environmental policies. Ensure that all projects adhere to legal and safety requirements.

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities. Build strong working relationships and communicate effectively to address project requirements and expectations.

• Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging energy technologies, trends, and best practices. Evaluate their potential application in ongoing and future projects to maintain a competitive edge.

The estimated pay range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary and do not include bonuses or benefits.
